HCC Committee Members 2011/2012
Chair - Alan Winter
Fundraising Officer - Darren Fergus

Fundraising Officer is a new role at Herts Canoe Club and I am looking forward to it. When it comes to new kit I’m like a magpie so anything I can do to get more money in the coffers of the club is going to be a good thing because it will ultimately end up looking like a new kayak or a new open canoe. Buying new kit and replacing worn out kit costs money, as does the running of the club. Having a fresh source of funds can only be a good thing. Plus there are all of the things we can only dream of that may well become a reality one day. From experience raising money can be a full time job so it’s great to be able to dedicate my committee time to this role. Grants, awards, organized activities and the like all take time and I am pleased to have the time to do this now. I will be working hard, creatively and ethically to raise money for the club and you will see throughout the year some good events and of course, some invitations to get involved. Don’t be shy, please step up to the plate and join me in some great fundraising efforts throughout this year and next.
